Lake Michigan In Indiana
Next dip your toes into the cool waters of Lake Michigan at Miller Beach.

Miller Beach is a wide uninterrupted expanse of sandy beach that sits exactly at the southern tip of Lake Michigan in Gary. Bird watching is a great here because of its unique location on the lake.

It serves as a phenomenal point of convergence for species that follow the eastern and western edges of the lake south during fall migration.

There is a lot to do at Indiana Dunes State Park and at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Both of the properties lie in close proximity to each other, and both of the areas offer camping opportunities.

Dunes rise 180 feet above Lake Michigan's southern shore with beaches, bogs, marshes, swamps, and prairie remnants and other natural features.
